THE BEEZ KNEEZ
The Beez Kneez is a Minneapolis-based honey producer/educational venture working at the forefront of the urban apiary and bee advocacy movement… and a close neighbor of ours. The challenge for us in this rebranding was to address the disparity between the company’s pre-existing visual brand and vision, while expanding upon the strong visual voice initially established in their “Healthy Beez, Healthy Lives” advocacy campaign. What resulted is a brand that dismisses the traditional ‘rural’ and ‘artisanal’ visual pastiche that is typically associated with honey, and instead pursues the vision of a bolder, contemporary, urban-based apiary.

“After working with Dan Ibarra of Thriving Concern for over 2 years, we have seen major results in response to our brand. We were in need of an uplift and a new, fresh look. Not only is he professional and an extremely talented artist, he takes the time to get to know you and your company in a way that reflects how you want to be represented. We receive compliments all the time on the design work from our logos, to product labels and merchandise to the overall feeling communicated with our brand. ”
