As a cleaning company, Minneapolis-based Two Bettys Green Cleaning substantially more irreverent than your typical straight-faced or staid green company. A company committed to sustainable materials for their business, Two Bettys is also run by artists, and staffed by artists, they needed something that equally reflected their personalities, their name, and running a green business. The identity is driven by satirizing and subverting the language of definitively NOT green, mid-century American industrial cleansers.

In 2012 Two Bettys commissioned us to design their first calendar as an annual holiday gift to all their house cleaning customers. The calendars were designed to tell stories of intimate-yet-benign moments through thematically tied semi-narratives. Seasonal objects and experiences such as “The Good China’s Big Day” in November for the Coffee Cup Calendar , “Keeping the Pipes from Freezing” in January for the Drips, Drops & Dates Calendar, “Rocktober Late-Night Drive-Thru Regret” in October for A Year in the Life of a Junk Drawer, all invoke the small moments that define and appreciate our homes lives.
